On the lighter side of life, I have an article in this month’s Chicago Athlete magazine about cyclocross (or “cross”), a bicycling sport that’s slowly becoming more of a household name. The sport is popular with mountain bike or road racers looking for an off-season sport in the fall/winter. In cross competitions, bicyclists complete several laps around a small course with obstacles, usually in a park. I interviewed some great people for this story, including the Pony Shop’s Lou Kuhn and Jason Knauff, director for Chicago Cyclocross Cup, which promotes and organizes cross events. You can read the article starting on page 28 here.
