New Year’s Resolutions for Athletes

I have an article in the January edition of Chicago Athlete magazine about keeping your New Year’s resolutions as an athlete. Bottom line: stick to specific, attainable goals and avoid vague resolutions such as “I’m going to lose weight” or “I’m going to run more.” How much more will you run this year and how will you achieve that distance?

As a recreational runner myself, I am hoping to compete in my first 5K, even though I still worry about placing last!
