May Musings

May has been a busy month. I completed my first 10K race and also published two articles about my experience with the JET Program and about JETs trying to make a difference in Tohoku, the area of Japan still recovering from the earthquake and tsunami two years ago. I have a new train stories to post soon, but in the meantime, I wanted to share the links to the recent articles I wrote. As always, thank you for reading.

  1. Hi Sheila,
I’m your Mom’s Aunt Kay and she shared your blog with me and I’m
in awe as to all of your experiences. I’ll be looking forward to reading
future stories while you are in Japan and maybe someday meeting
you although I know I have but it has been many years.

    Great Aunt Kay

      1. I’m Jack Hill and Kay is my bride.Your mom was at my 80th Surprise (Easy to surprise an 80 year old) last Sunday.Always great to see her,she used to baby sit for us.I can still see her sitting in this little rubber pool we had in her Bikini……well maybe it was a little longer than that.

I’m one of those low tech seniors and still marvel at answering machines, but my bride convinced me to read your blog. You are amazing and very talented.I can tell you were brought up right. It’s refreshing to hear that you youngsters have the same concerns I have, taking care of the poor,Healthcare for everyone, peace on earth and goodwill to all.Us seniors think good things, people like you do something about it

Thanks for letting us share your blog, you have a great and bright future ahead of you !!!!
